Texas-Oregon-Louisianna
This past weekend saw a major event: For the first time in nearly a decade, all of my siblings were together in one place. Brenda from Scappoose, Oregon; Connie from Dallas, Texas; John (me) from Palestine, Texas; and Steve from Baton Rouge, Louisiana... all in Dallas for a visit. We had seen each other separately but not all together. It was a lot of fun. We reconnected. Plans were laid. Many things, both serious and silly, were discussed.

Labor of Love (and wine)
What a Labor Day weekend! My 2 closest siblings and their spouses met in Dallas for the 4 F's: Food, Fun, Family, and Fermentation. I spent half the day on Saturday in the pool, between a wonderful lunch a la Italian deli and the grilled steak dinner by grill-master Jim. We in turns serious and silly. Breakfast the following Sunday morning was at Cafe` Brazil. Now, back to work.

The line is engaged!
Charles (the next in line) is engaged to be married!! His new fiancee is Aubrey Jean Bellotte of Denton, Texas. She's a little older than he is, but that's not really a problem for either of them. This weekend she will be meeting some of the Lamb-Bloxom crowd in Dallas. Good luck to her!
